PentagonLight MD2 LED LaserLight is a rugged and sophisticated tactical illumination system designed from the ground up for rifle mounting. MD2 integrates two essential elements into one compact system: close quarter tactical illumination and bystander casualty reduction. This integration of the light and visible red laser with A.R.M.S.'s most compact #17S throw lever mount reduces overall form factor. The mount easily engages and disengages the entire unit from the Picatinny rail for reducing preparation complexity, and allows quick and easy system maintenance. As a 6-volt tactical light system, MD2 LED LaserLight is pre-configured with a genuine Luxeon LED primary light that is electronically regulated to sustain maximal brightness at 65 lumens for 90 minutes. There are numerous advantages of LED lights for tactical operation. LED is shockproof against weapon recoil. It has thousands of hours of lifetime which means it will not burned out requiring bulb replacement during the most critical time. The light source is protected by an anti-scratch tempered glass lens and is maximally focused at factory for achieving the greatest distance and center brightness. MD2 LED LaserLight features an offset visible red laser sight for target assistance and threat deterrence. The laser can be calibrated for windage and elevation with a laser bore sight kit. The laser sight module is interchangeable with an optional side LED light for providing supplemental IR source, low visibility red light, or reduced signature NVG-compatible light. Manufactured by high precision CNC machine from aerospace grade aluminum with anti-abrasive, anti-corrosive, and anti-reflective military spec Type III hard anodized exterior finish, MD2 LED LaserLight is rugged and durable for illumination in the most critical environments. The anti-reflective finish reduces glare and minimizes signature for ensuring stealth. The primary light of MD2 is preconfigured with TR3 straight-cord tri-mode remote pressure pad switch. Positioned in momentary mode, the light can be activated by pressing the remote pressure pad. Turn tail-cap slightly to position in constant-on mode. Constant-on switches light on continuously without pressing, and is also useful in the event of remote pressure pad or cord failure. The pentagonal shape tail-cap facilitates rotation for operating the switch mechanism, including positioning the switch in lockout mode. This tail-cap is compact and light-weight, allowing the system to have better form factor. Additional tail-caps are available for alternate methods of switching operation. An independent recessed push ON/OFF tail-cap switch easily activates the offset laser and can be placed in safety lockout position. Since the laser is offset from the rail, its tail switch can be easily activated via thumb action when a vertical handgrip is installed. All connections are sealed with double O-rings for fail-safe protection against water leakage. MD2 system features universal and flexible PentagonLight™ Interchangeable Light Source (ILS) System, ensuring compatibility for other alternative light sources in meeting your mission specific needs. Each MD2 LaserLight is individually serialized for inventory control. The unit can be easily serviced in the field with an optional Field Service Kit. The front tempered glass lens can be easily replaced if it is damaged during an unexpected frontal impact.
