An extremely powerful infrared source for NVG and other night vision devices, MS2 Infrared Illuminator utilizes multiple 5-mm infrared LED's, which are shock resistant and vibrational proof, capable of withstanding heavy weapon recoil. Integrated with A.R.M.S.'s most compact #17S throw lever mount reduces MS2-IR form factor and weight. The mount easily engages and disengages the light from the Picatinny rail, ensuring quick, direct, and firm attachment. Unlike other LED-based IR Illuminator that use only a single optically enhanced IR LED to produce a weak and narrow IR spot or using IR filter over xenon tactical lights that produces an undesirable hotspot that distorts NVG view, MS2-IR is an incredible 4-watt infrared source that provides excellent distance for illumination to 300 yards and beyond with a very broad view angle. MS2-IR is crafted completely out of aerospace grade aluminum tube using precision CNC machine, it is rugged and durable for illumination in the most critical environments. Its exterior is in our anti-reflective, anti-corrosive, and anti-abrasive military spec Type III hard anodized finish. The anti-reflective finish reduces glare and minimizes signature in ensuring stealth. All connections are sealed with double O-rings for extra protection against water leakage. The head is interchangeable for alternate light sources with optional conversion heads. MS2-IR is pre-configured with PentagonLight™ signature tactical momentary TC-3 tail-cap switch for triggering infrared illumination only when needed. Twist the tail-cap for constant on mode. The switch is housed in our pentagonal shape anti-roll tail-cap. Two PentagonLight™ CR-123A lithium batteries with 10-year shelf-life are included.
